President Gandam meets with Minister Horner

Alberta Municipalities President Tyler Gandam met with the President of Treasury Board and Minister of Finance Nate Horner on January 15, 2024. 

The lengthy and wide-ranging conversation focused on municipal priorities for next month’s provincial budget, including adequate funding for infrastructure through the Local Government Fiscal Framework (LGFF), reversing the 2021 loan policy change, and avoiding provincial downloading of operational costs.

We appreciate Minister Horner making time in his busy schedule to meet with President Gandam, and we look forward to continuing to engage with him and other provincial officials on municipal priorities.
