Event Summary

Large municipalities in southern Alberta have signed water-sharing agreements to prepare for potential water shortages this summer. Minister Schulz has also asked smaller municipalities in southern Alberta to reduce water consumption by 5-10%.

This webinar will summarize the water-sharing agreements and share how municipalities plan to achieve these water conservation targets.

The content is geared towards southern municipalities, but all municipalities would be welcome. Northern municipalities can be encouraged to achieve similar reductions (5-10%) on a voluntary basis and as preparations as water scarcity is likely to persist in the future.
