Small Community Opportunity Program (SCOP) Webinar
Event Summary
As part of the Economic Development in Rural Alberta Plan the province is investing up to $6 million over the next 2 years in the new Small Community Opportunity Program, which will back Indigenous and small communities, helping rural Alberta grow its economic footprint.
The Small Community Opportunity Program provides grants to tackle challenges and tap into opportunities in rural areas. Indigenous and small communities (under 20,000), as well as non-profit groups they work with, may receive between $20,000 and $100,000 for local projects. By building capacity in the agriculture industry and small business, these rural communities will grow their economic footprint.
Join representatives from Alberta Agriculture and Irrigation at this webinar for an overview of the program including eligibility criteria and the application process. This is an excellent opportunity to gain a better understanding of the program and have your questions addressed directly by senior department leaders.
