Small Community Opportunity Program Webinar
Event Summary
We are pleased to host an online information session on the provincial government’s Small Community Opportunity Program in partnership with the Alberta Agriculture and Irrigation Department on Wednesday, November 22, from noon to 1 p.m.
The Small Community Opportunity Program, which is part of the Government of Alberta’s Economic Development in Rural Alberta Plan, provides grants to help municipalities tackle challenges and tap into opportunities in rural areas. Indigenous and small communities (populations under 20,000), as well as non-profit groups they work with, may receive between $20,000 and $100,000 for local projects. By building capacity in the agriculture industry and small businesses, these rural communities will grow their economic footprint.
Join Executive Director Scott Long, Program Lead Kate Tonowski and Director Chris VanTighem for an overview of the program, including eligibility criteria and the application process. This webinar is an excellent opportunity to improve your understanding of the program and ask questions.
