Virtual Town Hall on Provincial Consultations & Current Advocacy Priorities

Event Summary

Alberta Municipalities regular members are invited to join ABmunis' President Tyler Gandam for a virtual 'town hall' meeting on Thursday, November 30, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. He will provide an update on:

• ABmunis' efforts to date regarding the Government of Alberta’s online surveys on potential changes to the Local Authorities Elections Act (LAEA) and Municipal Government Act (MGA). Survey responses must be submitted by December 6. 
• Member involvement in advocating for an increase in the Local Government Fiscal Framework (LGFF) starting base amount.
• ABmunis’ submission to the Alberta Utilities Commission on renewable energy developments.

 A 'question and answer' session via Zoom chat will follow President Gandam's initial remarks.
