2020 AUMA Convention to be fully virtual

With the start of Convention just weeks away, the decision has been made to make the 2020 AUMA Convention fully virtual. Indoor in-person gatherings are still limited to 100 people and unfortunately, we do not see that changing soon.

While we would have loved to welcome members to an in-person event, members across Alberta will continue to gather virtually for an engaging convention program.

We are very excited to announce another world-renowned Canadian that will be joining our event line-up – Hayley Wickenheiser. The celebrated Olympian will round out this year’s event delivering a much-anticipated closing keynote.

Stay tuned for next week’s digest when we’ll announce the Juno and CCMA Award winner who will be performing a live virtual event on Thursday evening.

Recognizing the current financial restraint our members are facing, we have significantly lowered our typical registration fees for this year:

  • Member registration fee:  $100
  • Non-member registration fee:  $200

This lowered registration fee is a great opportunity to involve your administrative staff who would not normally have the chance to attend in person.

For a closer look of what to expect from our virtual Convention and to register, visit the AUMA event page.

Last week in digest, members were also invited to showcase your community's residents and businesses at Convention. We are excited to see your submissions, so please send them to events [at] auma.ca (events[at]auma[dot]ca) by Monday, September 7 at 5:00 p.m.
