Annual Canadian Municipal Barometer survey underway

The Canadian Municipal Barometer (CMB) is a research partnership that brings together seven universities, seven practice organizations (including Alberta Municipalities), and researchers from 20 universities across Canada to understand and improve municipal democracy. 

The CMB conducts an annual survey of mayors and councillors from more than 1,000 municipalities across Canada. Elected officials can contribute to the CMB’s research on public opinion, representation, and multi-level governance by participating in this groundbreaking research initiative.
