Apply by October 1 for funding to support the integration of immigrants
Alberta Labour and Immigration has launched a new call for proposals where municipal governments and other organizations can access up to $450,000 in funding to help communities attract, welcome, and retain immigrant newcomers or create efficiencies in the immigration system to support economic recovery needs.
The Settlement, Integration and Language Projects grant offers up to two years of funding for projects that build community capacity, strengthen a diverse and inclusive workforce, or support improvements to the settlement system. The program guidelines provide significant flexibility for applicants to put forward new and innovative ideas that are customized to meet local community needs.
The deadline for submission is October 1, 2021. Learn more on the Settlement, Integration and Language Projects website or contact newcomersupports [at] gov.ab.ca (newcomersupports[at]gov[dot]ab[dot]ca).
