Engagement of municipalities in gaming review delayed

AUMA announced in January that Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Corporation (AGLCC) would be consulting with municipalities on the charitable gaming model and broader stakeholders in the spring of 2019. The first phase is now complete which engaged specific organizations which held licenses for bingos, casinos and raffles over $10,000.

Given the upcoming provincial election, the AGLCC has let the AUMA know the second phase may be delayed.

Based on a 2018 resolution, AUMA has been urging the AGLCC to consult on the gaming model and we will keep members updated through the Digest.
