Guide for Municipal Leaders on Canada’s and Alberta’s Economic Response to COVID-19
The federal and provincial governments continue to announce comprehensive plans involving various financial supports to help stabilize the economy due to the impact of the COVID-19 coronavirus.
AUMA has developed a guide for municipalities to outline the variety of programs available and actions taken by the Government of Canada and Government of Alberta to stabilize the economy as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak. The information in the guide will help municipalities:
- determine which programs may be applicable to municipal operations; and
- communicate with their residents and employers about available programs intended to help alleviate financial pressures on households and businesses.
