How to request a meeting with Minister of Municipal Affairs during AUMA Convention
The Honourable Kaycee Madu, Minister of Municipal Affairs, will be available to meet with municipal officials and representatives during the upcoming 2019 AUMA Convention in Edmonton on September 25-27.
Should your council wish to meet with Minister Madu, please submit your meeting request directly to Katie Neufeld at katie.neufeld [at] gov.ab.ca (katie[dot]neufeld[at]gov[dot]ab[dot]ca) by Friday, August 23.
Your meeting requests should include two to three policy items or issues you would like to discuss, and a rough approximation of how many people will attend the meeting on behalf of your municipality. The length of meeting time will be approximately 20 minutes per municipality. In order for the ministry to plan effectively, requests that arrive after the August 23 deadline, or do not include agenda items, will not be considered.
During the week of September 9, 2019, Government of Alberta staff will send notifications advising municipalities of the status of their request to meet with the Minister.
