New annual report from the Alberta Water Council

Alberta Water Council (AWC) 2018 annual report is now available. AWC is a multi-stakeholder partnership with 24 members from governments, industries, and non-government organizations. AWC’s task is to monitor and follow the implementation of Alberta’s Water for Life strategy – the key water policy for the province.

AUMA is a member of the AWC Board of Directors and partners with AWC to advocate for urban municipalities. Municipalities have worked with AWC on several different water policies, including the AUMA Conservation, Efficiency and Productivity (CEP) Plan. Currently, AUMA representatives are working with other stakeholders on developing multi-year drought and drinking water protection guides for municipalities.
