Prime Minister responds to AUMA letter
Back in May, AUMA sent a letter to the Prime Minister with 167 signatures from municipalities across Alberta to demonstrate our strong support for the Trans Mountain Pipeline Expansion project. On July 4, AUMA received a letter back from the Office of the Prime Minister thanking us for our letter. AUMA appreciates this acknowledgement of our intent to demonstrate the importance of the Trans Mountain Pipeline to Alberta and Canada.
On May 29, the federal government announced its intent to buy the pipeline to ensure the expansion is built, and Trans Mountain recently announced construction plans for the next six months, including work in Alberta.
