Running for Municipal Office Webpage launches

AUMA, RMA and Municipal Affairs have partnered to develop a Running for Municipal Office webpage that provides essential information for candidates and potential candidates.

The page includes a series of videos featuring AUMA and RMA board members sharing their observations and experiences about life as a municipal councillor.  It also features information from Municipal Affairs on election rules, the basics of the roles and responsibilities of councillors and municipalities, and information on campaigning during COVID-19.

Municipalities are welcome to share the webpage on their own websites or social media platforms as a resource for candidates across Alberta.
