Share your Intermunicipal Collaboration Frameworks (ICFs) experience by December 31

The provincial government confirmed its commitment to Intermunicipal Collaboration Frameworks (ICFs) through recent amendments to the Municipal Government Act, which were set out in Bill 25. The Minister of Municipal Affairs also confirmed the deadline for completing rural to urban ICFs remains April 1, 2020. The deadline for rural to rural ICFs remains April 1, 2021, as long as the parties are in agreement with this timeline and the Minister of Municipal Affairs is notified that the extended deadline is being applied.

The AUMA has invited its members to participate in a short online survey on experiences with the process of developing ICFs. The information collected will provide an overview of how many ICFs have been completed and how many are outstanding, what challenges and concerns municipalities have with the process, and what resources or supports would be useful in completing ICFs.

The information will be reviewed, summarized and shared with members.

RMA provided a similar survey to their members, so AUMA will also be working with RMA to share and compare information related to ICF development across all types of municipalities.

Please complete the survey by Tuesday, December 31, 2019
