Summer Temporary Employment Program Steps up
The Summer Temporary Employment Program (STEP) is back and now accepting applications from eligible employers interested in hiring students into summer jobs from May to August. Eligible employers will get a $7-per-hour wage subsidy from the province with the rest provided by the host municipality.
Municipalities qualify for between two and forty positions depending on their size and scope of work. More information, including eligibility criteria, application process, and FAQs can be found on the Government of Alberta website. Application deadline is February 9, 2018.
