Summit spotlight: Common Ground Toolkit

Common Ground Politics has been conducting extensive research into Alberta's political landscape over the past few years, and we are excited to share the findings with you!

As a supporting partner of the Common Ground initiative, Alberta Municipalities is pleased to showcase it at our President's Summit on Civility on Wednesday, March 5, in Edmonton. The initiative aims to foster better communication and civil dialogue within politics by creating a "toolkit" with which to build a shared vocabulary for addressing the challenges we face.

Dr. Jared Wesley, a key figure in the development of the Common Ground Toolkit, will describe how this resource can be used to improve communication in local government. He will provide practical insights into how the toolkit can help bridge divides, foster constructive conversations, and build a more collaborative approach to local governance.

Participants will have an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the toolkit, learn how to use it in local government settings to improve communications and cooperation, and expand their professional networks.
