Fall session ends
The fall session concluded in the wee hours of December 9, after MLAs passed 15 government bills. In total, the Legislature set a record for number of hours sat in 2020, far surpassing the previous record set in 1994, and passed 49 government bills.
Following consultations conducted last summer, the province released the Affordable Housing Review Panel’s final report. The government accepted all 19 of the panel’s recommendations, including to develop a provincial strategic plan for housing and encouraging municipalities to develop local affordable housing plans.
