Update from the Legislature - Jan 13

The 2021 spring legislative session is expected to commence in February, with a provincial budget expected to be presented late that month. The government will focus on managing the pandemic and vaccine rollout while delivering on most of their outstanding platform commitments. AUMA will continue to advocate for the principles contained in our budget submission, as well as seeking clarity from the province as COVID-related public health restrictions evolve.

Last week, Ric McIver was sworn in as the new Minister of Municipal Affairs. AUMA ran a profile of the Minister in a September issue of Digest, and we look forward to working with him as he takes on the new portfolio.
