Update from the Legislature - July 2

Alberta’s Economic Recovery Plan announced

On Monday, Premier Kenney and President of Treasury Board and Minister of Finance Toews announced Alberta’s economic recovery plan, with the stated goals of creating jobs, building infrastructure, and diversifying the economy. The plan includes a one-time increase in funding for capital spending in 2020-21, including up to $500 million in further funding for municipalities, and $612 million for a series of large-scale infrastructure projects.

AUMA looks forward to receiving further information and details on the programs and will update members once received. You can read the entire plan here.
