Updated Guide for Municipal Leaders on Canada’s and Alberta’s Economic Response to COVID-19

At the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic, AUMA developed a guide to help members understand the scope of federal and provincial programs that were created to help alleviate financial pressures on businesses, households, and municipalities. As the pandemic continues, the federal and provincial governments have adjusted or created new programs to help stabilize the economy.

While members will already be aware of the programs that support municipalities such as the Municipal Stimulus Program and Municipal Operating Support Transfer, AUMA has released an updated version of the Guide so that municipal leaders are informed to communicate with residents, not-for-profits, and businesses about available supports.
