Webinars: Federal funding for local transit projects

Alberta Municipalities recently shared information about the Canada Public Transit Fund (CPTF) with members in several issues of The Weekly. Prior to this, the association provided input to the federal government during its development of the program.

Now, ABmunis is pleased to provide additional opportunities for members to access funding for local transit projects. The Rural Transit Solutions Fund, under the CPTF, supports the development and expansion of locally driven transit solutions, by helping residents of rural, remote, Indigenous and Northern communities conduct their day-to-day activities, like accessing services, going to work, school, medical appointments, and visiting loved ones.

Municipalities interested in learning more about the Rural Transit Solutions Fund ahead of the application deadline (March 4, 2025) should attend one of the webinars offered by the federal government in the next month or so.  Webinars are planned for January 14, January 28, and February 13 at 11 a.m. MST.
