Alberta communities receive asset management funding
The Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) recently provided more than $300,000 in asset management funding to seven communities in Alberta through the Municipal Asset Management Program (MAMP). The recipients are:
- City of Brooks
- Buffalo Lake Metis Settlement
- Cypress County
- Town of Pehold
- Town of Ponoka
- Townsite of Redwood Meadows
- Town of Sylvan Lake
The grants, which range from $35,000 to $50,000, will fund asset management studies to support infrastructure upgrades, municipal asset management plans and maintenance plans for existing asset classes.
Alberta Municipalities also receives funding from MAMP to offer free asset management training opportunities to our members.
Registrations are currently open for our small group learning communities. The small group learning communities are facilitated one-day opportunities in which participants select an asset management topic they want to work on with a group of peer municipalities. More details and the registration form can be found here.
