Alberta Police Advisory Board update
The Alberta Police Advisory Board recently released its Fall 2024 communique.
This communique provides an update on the board’s work to date, as well as information on:
- The police funding model (PFM) implemented in 2019
- Bill 6, the Police Amendment Act, which establishes a new system of police governance in Alberta
- Bill 11, the Public Safety Statutes Amendment Act, which establishes an independent police agency
- Information on how funds raised through the PFM have been allocated.
