Angela Duncan resigns

Angela Duncan resigned as Mayor of the Village of Alberta Beach and Director with Alberta Municipalities on June 26, 2023. 

She was first elected to the association’s Board in 2018 as Director, Villages West. Angela went on to serve intermittently on various committees and the Alberta Municipal Service Corporation’s Board of Governors for the next six years. She rose to the occasion in August 2021 when she unexpectedly became Interim President, handling her new responsibilities with ease and ensuring things kept running smoothly until Cathy Heron was elected President three months later.

ABmunis' board of directors, members and staff thank Angela for her years of outstanding service to our association. We will miss Angela’s boundless energy, infectious enthusiasm, fierce determination and steady leadership. We wish her the best of luck in her future endeavours!
