CEIP is coming to St. Albert!

The City of St. Albert and Alberta Municipalities (ABmunis) are bringing the Clean Energy Improvement Program (CEIP) to St. Albert.

The city passed its Clean Energy Improvement Tax Bylaw in May 2021. Earlier this fall, the Government of Canada and the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) announced $5 million in support of St. Albert’s program. With ABmunis as the program administrator, CEIP is now ready to launch.

Beginning Nov. 22, 2022, residential property owners in St. Albert can start to access low-interest financing for energy efficiency and renewable energy upgrades. Repayment is handled conveniently through property taxes, and the financing is transferable to new owners.
