Free and discounted energy-related training available
CIET has partnered with Energy Efficiency Alberta to provide a series of energy-related training sessions that will be accessible and affordable to Albertans across the province who want to increase their capacity to understand, engage in, manage, and measure energy efficiency projects.
In partnership with Energy Efficiency Alberta, CIET will be offering three distinct types of training at various locations within the province in March:
- Best Practices of ICI Energy Management Training (Edmonton, Calgary, Lethbridge, Grande Prairie, Fort McMurray, Red Deer, Medicine Hat) – No-cost for Albertans
This training is accessible to all types of audiences regardless of technical background, and will offer participants the chance to discover easily applicable approaches to energy savings which can be applied in industrial, commercial or institutional buildings. Energy Efficiency Alberta will cover the full cost for anyone from Alberta.
- CEM - Certified Energy Manager Training (Edmonton and Calgary) – 50% cost reduction for Albertans
The CEM is the most popular and most recognized professional designation in Canada for energy professionals. Through this training, participants will be exposed to a detailed program of instruction covering the technical, economic and regulatory aspects of effective energy management. At the end of the course, participants will have the opportunity to join 4,500 professionals in Canada by earning their CEM. Energy Efficiency Alberta will cover half the cost for anyone from Alberta.
- CRE – Certified RETScreen Expert (Edmonton and Calgary) – 50% cost reduction for Albertans
Growing in popularity and use due to its versatility, the newest version of RETScreen is being used by a number of professionals, from Building operators, to engineers, to energy service staff who want to learn how to rapidly identify, assess, optimize and track the performance of clean energy investments over the entire life cycle of their energy projects. Energy Efficiency Alberta will cover half the cost for anyone from Alberta.
