Introducing ABmunis' Municipal Broadband Toolkit!

Access to broadband and internet services continues to play a pivotal role in the growth and development of municipalities across Alberta. This is why Alberta Municipalities has developed a Municipal Broadband Toolkit for municipal leaders.

The new document gives elected officials and staff members foundational knowledge to help them navigate Canada's complex municipal broadband landscape more effectively. It covers a wide range of topics, including:

• regulatory bodies and funding opportunities
• available broadband technologies and their potential implications
• approaches and strategies to undertaking municipal broadband projects
• use cases of successful broadband projects implemented in Alberta.

In addition to our continued advocacy efforts on this subject, the toolkit is intended to help municipalities across Alberta continue moving towards a ‘connected’ future.
