Land & Property Rights Tribunal survey closes Apr. 18

Good news: you now have until April 18 to provide input on the Land & Property Rights Tribunal (LPRT) survey!

The LPRT’s mission is to provide a fair and impartial appeal process for property assessments, surface rights, compensation, land use planning and other matters that affect land ownership and the municipalities where they live.

The Government of Alberta announced a review of LPRT business processes led by Meyers Norris Penny (MNP) in early March 2024. As part of this review, MNP will gather feedback through focus groups, interviews and written submissions.

The online survey and written response deadline has been extended to April 18, 2025 to provide stakeholders more time to share their experiences. Access to the survey and written response can be found on the MNP Engagement website.

A series of more focused group sessions will be held once the survey closes and feedback has been reviewed. Alberta Municipalities will share details for these sessions in the coming weeks.
