October 15 deadline for OHS Innovation and Engagement Grants
The Occupational Health and Safety Innovation and Engagement Grants Program provides funding for projects that raise awareness, increase knowledge or stimulate positive actions on OHS. Non-profit and public sector organizations can apply to any of the three streams:
- Capacity Building: up to $10,000 per project for activities such as conferences, seminars and learning sessions
- Action: up to $20,000 per project for activities such as developing and disseminating information resources and awareness campaigns
- Momentum: up to $50,000 per project for activities such as developing and disseminating information resources and awareness campaigns developed in partnership with another organization
Projects must align with one of the five priority areas:
- Impairment in the workplace (e.g. prescription or recreational drugs, stress, fatigue or other factors)
- Workplace violence and mental health (e.g. bullying, harassment, physical violence, domestic violence)
- Vulnerable workers (e.g. new and young workers, recent immigrants, workers with disabilities)
- Not for profit organizations that support improving compliance in small business (i.e. developing information resources and tools to assist small businesses in meeting their obligations, supports for agricultural workers)
- Occupational disease
