Overview of AUMA available to support orientation

AUMA has developed a brief overview of who we are and what we do for you to share with your new and returning elected officials. The PDF can be easily downloaded and added to the orientation packages as you welcome your elected officials.

Don’t forget that our Elected Officials Education Program is offering a Munis 101 course at our Convention and in regional sessions throughout Alberta to help municipalities meet Municipal Government Act requirements for orientation.

In addition to Munis 101, our upcoming Annual Convention will offer a wide variety of educational sessions geared towards helping councils set themselves up for a successful four years and beyond. Sessions include:

• Advocating for Small Communities in Big World,
• Top Tips for Working with your Municipal Administration, and
• The Role that Elected Officials Play in Economic Development

And we are offering many other educational sessions covering the environmental, social, and economic issues facing today’s municipalities. These sessions are in addition to networking opportunities and the launch of our new brand. Don’t miss out!
