Single-Use Plastics Prohibition Regulations Published

Environment and Climate Change Canada published the Single-Use Plastics Prohibition Regulations in the Canada Gazette Part I on Dec. 25, 2021, initiating a 70-day public comment period. During this time, Environment and Climate Change Canada asks stakeholders and partners to submit comments on the proposed regulations, the accompanying Regulatory Impact Analysis Statement, and the draft Guidance for Selecting Alternatives. The comment period ends March 5, 2022.
