Update from the Legislature – November 29, 2023
The Legislature is scheduled to sit this week and next before rising for the rest of the year on Thursday, December 7.
Automated traffic enforcement
Following restrictions introduced in 2019 and 2021, the provincial government announced a new round of engagement with municipalities regarding automated traffic enforcement (photo radar) on November 23. Alberta Municipalities looks forward to learning the details of the consultations and how our members will be engaged over the next year to help improve traffic safety.
Budget 2024
The provincial government began its Budget 2024 consultations on November 27. The online survey and written survey are open to all Albertans until January 19, 2024.
