Want to submit a resolution? Here's what you need to know
We recently updated our Guide on 2025 Resolutions in response to questions we received from members who are considering submitting a resolution for consideration at this year's annual Convention and Trade Show in Calgary in mid-November.
The updates:
- Clarify that the fall municipal elections do not change our normal resolution process.
- Explain the process our Board of Directors uses to prioritize each resolution that is adopted by members.
- Help members determine whether a resolution is their best option.
Deadline for 2025 resolutions
The deadline for submitting a resolution this year is June 30, 2025. The councils for the moving and seconding municipalities must approve the resolution by this date.
