The 2023 provincial election has begun!
Alberta's highly anticipated provincial general election has been called for Monday, May 29. Here are some things to keep in mind between now and election day...
Alberta Municipalities’ information campaign
If you were among the 350+ people who took part in ABmunis’ 2023 Spring Municipal Leaders’ Caucus in late March, you already know our association is conducting a non-partisan information campaign between now and May 29. Our goal: ensure political parties and candidates consider those key issues our members have told us are important to Albertans who live in the communities they serve.
We are asking Albertans to "Think Alberta, Vote Local" during this provincial general election. That is why we are encouraging you to ask candidates who show up at your doorsteps, "Who has the plan?" on three key municipal priorities –
- Community Building (infrastructure)
- Community Safety (including policing)
- Community Health (including Emergency Medical Services).
We plan to conduct several online media availabilities over the next month to address these important local issues and help generate discussion among the political parties, candidates, reporters and pundits.
We welcome your help when it comes to spreading the word on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn. Every time you like, share or repost one of our social media posts, you are helping amplify ABmunis’ messages.
