Amended Brownfield regulation in effect January 1

Alberta Environment and Parks (AEP) has amended the Remediation Regulation, which will come into effect on January 1, 2019. The amendments were developed jointly with major stakeholders including AUMA, and the amendments streamline existing processes that were deemed as barriers by municipalities in the past.

AEP presented the latest information at the 2019 Remediation Technologies Symposium in October to inform stakeholders about the upcoming change.
