Asset management course materials now available
AUMA, in partnership with the Rural Municipalities of Alberta (RMA) and Infrastructure Asset Management Alberta (IAMA), with a grant from the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM), offered a series of courses for elected officials and municipal staff on asset management. AUMA is now offering all the course materials from these sessions for AUMA members to access and use.
Courses were offered on the following topics:
- Asset Management for Elected Officials: The Strategic Basics
- Asset Management for Municipal Staff: The Technical Basics
- Boring Until It’s Broken: Engaging the Public in Infrastructure and Asset Management
- I Want a Five-Star Experience for a Two-Star Price: Setting and Communicating Levels of Service
- It’s Got Teeth But Doesn’t Bite: Developing and Implementing an effective Asset Management Policy
- RISK: How Asset Management Can Help
- Weathering the Storm: Asset Management and Climate Change

To access the course materials, visit the Asset Management page and click on the green “learn more” button near the top of the page. You must have a subscription to the AUMA website to access this resource.
