Awards recognize up and coming municipal administrators
AUMA and the University of Alberta, Faculty of Extension are pleased to announce the 2018 recipients of the William F Lede and Ernest Newman Memorial Bursary are Joseph Hutter, Communications Clerk and Executive Assistant with Cardston County; Chelsea Doi, Municipal Intern with Mackenzie County; and Kyle Schole, Development Officer I with the City of Lacombe. All three recipients are young municipal administrators passionate about working in the municipal public sector with a common goal to improve their knowledge and advance their professional careers in this field.
The William F Lede and Ernest Newman bursaries were established in the early 80s with the goal of helping practicing municipal administrators acquire education, training and professional upgrading relevant to municipal administrative practice.
Both bursaries are given out annually. All current and prospective National Advanced Certificate in Local Authority Administration (NACLAA) students are encouraged to apply.
