Help promote the Sixties Scoop sessions in your community
The Alberta government is hosting engagement sessions across the province and is inviting Sixties Scoop survivors and their families to help understand what a meaningful government apology should look like.
Enabling survivors and their families to help shape how government can apologize for the Sixties Scoop will create a truly meaningful apology and help to promote healing. AUMA invites you to encourage survivors of the Sixties Scoop and their families in your community to attend and participate in the engagement sessions:
- February 1 – St. Paul
- February 7 – Fort McMurray
- February 14 – Lethbridge
- February 21 – Calgary
- March 1 – Edmonton
(A session was also held on January 18 in Peace River.)
The province is also accepting online submissions for people unable to attend the engagement sessions.
Further details can be found on the Sixties Scoop Apology website and in the event poster.
