Kudos on the Resolution, Olds & Didsbury!

Alberta Municipalities (ABmunis) congratulates the Town of Olds for being the first municipality to officially submit a resolution for consideration at the 2022 Convention. The resolution, entitled “Operational transit funding for small to medium-sized municipalities” is seconded by the Town of Didsbury.

Following the guidance set out in the 2022 Resolutions Guide and Template, the Town of Olds submitted a MS Word version of the resolution in the proper format, along with the wording and dates of motions passed at both councils that clearly indicate endorsement of the resolution. The submission deadline for resolutions is May 31, 2022.

Here is what the motions looked like:

On March 28, 2022, the Town of Olds Council passed the following motion:
Moved by Councillor Daley, “that Council approve the Operational Transit Funding for Small to Medium Sized Municipalities resolution, as presented”.
Motion Carried 22-97

On April 12, 2022, the Town of Didsbury Council passed the following motion:
Res. 215-22
Moved by Councillor Moore, “To second the Town of Olds motion for the Operational Transit Funding for Small to Medium Sized Municipalities Resolution.”
Motion Carried.
