Promoting collaboration to reduce gender-based violence

While municipalities do not have the resources to solve social issues on their own, they can contribute to positive social change through working with community groups. New infographics developed as part of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities' Canadian Women in Local Leadership (CanWILL) project provide the rationale and building blocks for collaboration between municipalities and community groups to end gender-based violence.

Alberta Municipalities is pleased to participate in the Federation of Canadian Municipalities' CanWILL project as it complements our own initiatives around fostering a culture of respect, encouraging women in municipal government, and supporting welcoming and inclusive communities.
