RCMP Modernization: Community Safety and Well-being Branch

The vast majority of ABmunis members receive policing services from the Alberta RCMP. As the RCMP approaches its 150th anniversary in 2023, the organization aims to be the modern, inclusive, and healthy organization that employees and Canadians expect.

Last fall, the Alberta RCMP announced the launch of the Community Safety and Well-being Branch. This branch is designed to reduce crime and proactively address the root causes of crime and victimization by integrating police with community partners, and enhancing engagement with all Albertans. It is the first RCMP branch of this type in Canada.
